Welcome to the hc1 community. Use this checklist to help you start using the community to connect, communicate, and collaborate for a better way to work.
1. Introduce Yourself
Update your profile to introduce yourself to the community. Just click on the avatar circle in the upper right corner to expand the menu, and click Edit Profile. Follow the steps to upload a profile photo, add an avatar, and update profile fields. Don't forget to also set your preferences so you can choose which types of activity you want to be notified about. This will be under the Preferences section, under Edit Profile.
Searching for people, places and content is easy! Use the magnifying glass in the upper right corner to search for the information that is important to you. Once you begin to engage in the community, your suggestions and history tabs in Search will be filled in for you. Additionally, if there's a piece of content you want to quickly and easily go back to, make sure to bookmark it so it shows up in your bookmarks tab in Search.
3. Follow Places and People
Following people and places helps personalize what content you see and improves recommendations for places, content, and people that may be of interest to you. Find your team members and other colleagues with similar interests, expertise, roles, etc., or follow people who lead areas related to your work. Join and follow other places related to your team and interests to make sure you are notified about new content or changes.
"Like" a message that appeals to you. Better yet, reply to a question, add comments to a post, or start a discussion on a new topic. By participating and collaborating here in the community, your conversations will be visible to others who can help and add to the conversation, as well as be easily recalled using Search.
